Submission of regular and startup grant applications is on a split-program basis; that is, the eligibility to submit applications is limited, in alternate years, to either health sciences, life sciences and psychology; or to exact, physical and social sciences as outlined below. 

Some interdisciplinary applications may qualify scientifically for submission in either year of the split program. However, the BSF does not allow submissions of the same or similar application in consecutive years.


In mid November of odd calendar years (2009,2011) the following areas of research will be eligible for submission (alphabetical order):
